CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: SWISS GOVERNMENT EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS (ESKAS) PROGRAM
The Ministry is pleased to announce the availability of the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships (ESKAS), following official communication from the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Bern.
This scholarship program, administered by the Swiss Confederation, underscores Switzerland’s strong commitment to fostering international academic exchange and research cooperation. It offers an exceptional opportunity for highly qualified Kenyan postgraduate researchers to advance their academic and professional development in a dynamic and innovative Swiss environment.
Deadline: 28 November, 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to postgraduate researchers across all academic disciplines, including the arts.
- Applicants must:
- Hold a master’s degree (or equivalent).
- Be below 35 years of age.
- Secure a Swiss academic supervisor willing to support their proposed research project. An official letter of acceptance from the supervisor is a mandatory requirement for the application.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Full tuition coverage.
- Monthly living stipend.
- Health insurance.
- In some cases, travel expenses may also be covered.
