Role Overview
Kameme TV is seeking a confident, charismatic, and passionate TV Host fluent in Kikuyu to join its vibrant broadcasting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hosting live and recorded shows, conducting interviews, and connecting with audiences in an engaging and professional manner.
Their key responsibilities include:
- Host live and recorded TV shows on Kameme TV.
- Conduct interviews and lead discussions on topical issues, including current affairs, entertainment, and lifestyle.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance content for both formal and informal shows.
- Represent the Kameme TV brand with professionalism, authenticity, and energy.
- Engage viewers through excellent communication and presentation.
- Collaborate with the production and editorial teams to develop quality programming.
Qualifications
- Must be fluent in Kikuyu (both spoken and written).
- Strong understanding of current affairs, social issues, and entertainment trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Confident on camera and comfortable engaging live audiences.
- Creative, energetic, and a strong team player.
- Prior experience in television, media, or public speaking is an added advantage.

The ideal candidate has a sharp nose for news, a deep understanding of storytelling, and the ability to transform ideas into engaging, high-quality content. You’ll work with our editorial and digital teams to source, write, and edit stories that inform, inspire, and captivate our audiences across multiple platforms.
Their key responsibilities include:
- Research, pitch, and write original stories for print and digital platforms.
- Identify trending topics and craft timely, engaging content around them.
- Edit and proofread stories to ensure clarity, factual accuracy, and adherence to brand tone.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, and digital producers to bring stories to life.
- Repackage content for online and social media audiences.
- Meet daily and weekly content deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.
Qualifications
- A strong news sense and the ability to spot compelling stories quickly.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to rewrite, adapt, and refine stories to meet editorial goals.
- Creativity, curiosity, and the drive to chase good content every day.
- Strong understanding of digital media trends and audience engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a newsroom or digital media environment is an added advantage.
