I. Marketing Officer
AFC Leopards SC is seeking a passionate Marketing Officer to plan and oversee the club’s marketing activities and campaigns. The Marketing Officer will be the one to ensure that all marketing operations are successful in meeting the goals set by management. A successful Marketing officer must have great enthusiasm for all the things related to marketing & sponsorships. The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator and will have experience in managing different marketing ventures and the goal is to ensure that the marketing efforts of the club add the highest value to its business and partners.
Marketing Officer Responsibilities:
- Contribute in the implementation of the clubs marketing strategies
- Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness and sponsorship value
- Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for club events and competitions on a variety of media (social, electronic, print etc.)
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote the success of the club activities and enhance the presence of Ingwe and its sponsors.
- See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics
- Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth of sponsorship value.
- Build long-term relationships with media and marketing influencers
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in marketing roles, often requiring 1–3 years of experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and data analysis tools.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity: Ability to create innovative, and engaging content.
II. Media and Communications Officer
Job Summary
The Media Relations and Communications Officer is responsible for managing the flow of information between the club and the public, liase with media practitioners, and engage internal stakeholders. The primary goal is to project a positive, professional image of the club to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and attract members, supporters, and sponsors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Media Relations & PR:
- Act as the primary point of contact for local and regional media outlets.
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, match reports, and club news.
- Proactively pitch stories to media to secure coverage.
- Coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media events.
- Monitor media coverage and manage the club’s reputation.
Content Creation & Social Media:
- Oversee the work on the club’s website, social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn), and apps.
- Lead the team involved in creating engaging, consistent content (videos, photos, articles) that reflects the club’s brand guidelines.
- Create and distribute internal newsletters for members.
Match Day & Event Support:
- Ensure proper presentation of the club on match days.
- Provide, edit, and distribute team lists, match results, and updates to the league or relevant bodies on time.
Strategic Planning & Internal Comms:
- Develop and implement annual communication plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with club officials, coaches, and committees to coordinate communication efforts.
- Provide updates to sponsors and parents (for Youth teams).
Administration:
- Maintain an up-to-date database of media contacts.
- Maintain archives of club history, press clippings, and photography.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or journalism (sports background strongly preferred).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging, accurate copy.
- Digital Proficiency: Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), and photo/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Organization: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines (including evenings/weekends).
- Interpersonal Skills: Creative, proactive, and capable of working effectively with diverse stakeholders (media, members, sponsors).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Working Conditions
- This role requires flexibility, as it often involves working in the evenings and on weekends to cover games and events.
- May require travel to away matches or related functions.
- A Police/Background check may be required.
III. Photographer/Videographer and Editor
A Photographer/Videographer and Editor captures high-energy visual content, creates engaging marketing materials, and edits photo/video content for social media and promotions. This role requires expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, operating photography/lighting gear, managing digital archives, and producing high-quality, on-brand content for match day, entertainment, or special events under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Production: Capture high-quality photos and video footage of events, crowds, and performers.
- Editing: Edit, color-grade, and polish photo/video content for social media, website, and promotional materials.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging visual stories that align with the brand’s image.
- Equipment Management: Setup, maintain, and operate cameras, lighting, and audio gear.
- Content Management: Organize, archive, and manage all photo and video assets.
- Social Media: Generate quick-turnaround content for Instagram Stories, Reels, and TikTok.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in photography and videography, preferably within a football club, hospitality, or event-driven environment.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of composition, lighting techniques, and audio recording.
- Creativity: A keen eye for visual storytelling and a creative approach to capturing content.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, often during weekends.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing relevant photography and videography work.
Requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team.
IV. Social Media Content Creator
A Social Media Content Creator develops, produces, and publishes engaging, platform-specific content (videos, graphics, copy) to increase brand awareness and engagement. Key duties include staying current with trends, managing content calendars for TikTok/Instagram/Facebook, filming/editing, analyzing performance metrics, and fostering community interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Create, edit, and publish high-quality, on-brand content, with a focus on short-form video (Reels, TikToks).
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute social media content plans that align with marketing goals and brand identity.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and algorithms, incorporating them into content strategy.
- Management: Schedule, post, and monitor social media content across multiple platforms.
- Engagement: Engage with the audience by replying to comments, messages, and fostering community.
- Analytics: Measure content performance through metrics, evaluating success to improve future content.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar editing software.
- Platform Expertise: Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn best practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting engaging captions and scripts.
- Creativity: Strong photography and videography skills (filming and editing).
- Experience: Proven experience in content creation, social media management, or a similar digital marketing role.

- A portfolio of previous work (social media handles, videos, campaigns).
